The Research Of Modern Distance Education System Model Based On The Grid Technology

Grid is a new development of Distributed Network Technology, aiming at sharing the resources from a more advanced level. The shared resources not only include the widely used web page nowadays, but also include the hardware and software resources which are connected on the Internet such as computing resources, storage resources, sense passing facility and etc.Modern educational technology on the basis of Network plays a very important role in the Modern distance education nowadays. It provides many learners with rapid and convenient learning ways. With the quick development of the distance education, the existing distance education system gradually exposes more and more problems which are mainly represented on the deficiency of the depth and width of the resources sharing. The pith of Grid technology is the sharing of information and resources. This technology will help us solve the above mentioned problems. At present, the Grid technology has been used in the areas such as science computing and military affairs, however, it has not been widely use in the area of distance education. Therefore, the research on how to apply the Grid technology in the distance education is very necessary and significant.Under the background of "Resource Management and Task Scheduling in the Grid Computing Environment" supported by Tianjin Nature and Science Foundation Items, combing the Grid's basic conception, system structure and application foreground and some information about modern distance education, my thesis aims at how to establish a Grid environment, how to explore the Grid application and how to apply the Grid technology in the distance education system. My thesis also puts forward a modern distance education system model, on the basis of Grid technology to solve the problems like the failure of the resources sharing and the repeated establishment of education resources in the modern distance education system under the Internet environment. My thesis also try to makes a C program design language learning website, which put Turbo C compile system encapsulate into a Grid service example to provide learners with the Grid service of compiling C source code on the basis of the Grid tool packet Globus Toolkit 4.0, on purpose to validate the rationality of the modern distance education system model based on the Grid technology.
