| This present paper is an introduction to the research and experimentalwork of the technical standards of the Beijing Citizen Cards. It covers thetechniques of IC cards both at home and abroad, the overall construction, thegeneral technical standards of the design and application of the Citizen Cardsand so on.The first chapter ideals with the techniques and varieties of IC cards inuse nowadays. It is also a brief introduction to, as well as a comparison of, theapplication of IC cards all over the world. The last part of this chapter laysspecial emphasis on the description and analysis of the application of IC cardsin Beijing and discusses the demands for conformity of IC card application inthe city.The second chapter introduces the concept of the Citizen Cards with aspecial stress on the advanced idea of multiple-purpose of the Citizen Cards.This chapter also addresses the general design and application of the project.The third chapter concentrates on the technical standards of the CitizenCards which is regarded as the key phase of the project, including the purposeand the significance of establishing the technical standards, the technicalstandards of IC cards in other countries as well as in China. The overalldesigning process and the technical criteria of the scheme of the Citizen Cardsis also the concern of this chapter.Chapter four covers the major elements of the technical standards of theCitizen Cards, i. e., the contents of the application standards. The authordwells on this part not only because it involves the differences between theBeijing Citizen Cards and other IC cards, but also because this part presentsthe major contribution of the author.The last chapter is a conclusion of the whole paper, with specialemphasis on the research work. |
