Photovoltaic technology is an advanced dynamoelectric technology whichcan optimize the energy composing, at present, Photovoltaic plant system is animportant method to supply electricity for lots of farmers in rural area and themicrowave relay station, For the problem of operation of Photovoltaic Plant inremote area, the paper design a system of developing modem communicationby VC to realize remote control.First of all, the paper designed the photovoltaic plant's distant monitoringsystem as a whole, described basic composing and principle of the photovoltaicplant's distant monitoring system, chose 89C51 single-chip microcomputer asintelligent controller for photovoltaic plant based on control requirement of thesystem. The hardware design and software design for the controller weremainly studied, they can achieve real-time data acquisition, state control, dataand state display, parameter setting etc.Secondly, the paper expatiated serial communication principle between PCand single-chip microcomputer, designed serial communication protocol for thesystem, the software and the principle of serial communication in the systembased on MSComm in the Visual C++6.0 were mainly introduced. Realizedremote control to Photovoltaic Plant by PC adopting the communicationtechnology of Modem through existing public telephone network.Thirdly, we designed the interface of upper computer based on VisualC++6.0. Through the interface, we can achieve real-time display for theparameter and state of Photovoltaic Plant, communication setting, real-timecurve drawing, history data querying, remote control for the state etc. Inaddition, the interface can give a alarm when Photovoltaic Plant encountersmalfunction or the parameters exceed, then we can affirm that.At last, through simulation and debugging in the lab, the system run welland could acquire data and monitor the state. Additionally we brought forwardtwo kinds of new schemes for photovoltaic plant's distant monitoring systembased on data radio and GPRS.
