Nowadays conventional energy crisis and the environmental pollution have becomeincreasingly prominent.Developing other renewable energy sources, such as solar,has becomea consensus among the countries of the world,which also makes the solar photovoltaicindustry develop more rapidly in recent years.It not only can reduce the environmentalpollution,but also can meet the demand for electricity for the families which are far awayfrom urban area and without electricity or lack of electricity to develop the solar photovoltaicpower generation.However,most photovoltaic plants are built in remote,scattered,hostile regions,not easyfor monitoring,also restrict the promotion of photovoltaic technology seriously.To solve theproblem,a remote monitoring and controlling system of plants which is based on digital signalprocess and CAN bus technology are designed in this paper. Using the TMS320F2812DSP ofTI Company as the main control chip of this system,the system takes CAN bus as bottomnetwork to communicate with PC through CAN intelligent connection card.The running statusinformation of the power plants collected by system are sent to micro processor unit by signalconditioning circuit and processed and then sent to the monitoring center computer throughCAN bus.Firstly,the electric circuit for those peripheral modules and the CAN bus communicationmodule which takes TMS320F2812as core controller are designed.Powerful CAN buscontroller(eCAN) is used to transmit data.The software is debugged in the CCS IDE andusing C language.The system makes the function of real-time communication with PC bycompiling and composing the application agreement of CAN bus.Secondly,The interface of upper computer which is coded with LabVIEW language.Ithas some advantages of simple operation,such as high reliability and easy maintaining.Through the interface.we can achieve real-time display for the parameter andstate of Photovoltaic Plant,communication setting,real-time curve drawing,history dataquerying,remote control for the state etc.Finally,the designing work of the whole monitoring system was summarized and somefurther word was discussed.
