Atmospheric Sounding System is meteorological service foundation, also is the main resource of weather forecast, climate analysis, scientific research and international exchange meteorological information. There are many kinds of modern aerological ascent equipment and system to detect change of upper air. Among these systems, sonde-balloon-borne sounding system is the widest system in China. It is to survey temperature, pressure, humidity change from the ground to 30~40km upper air. The main weather process like rain, snow, hail appears in this level, which is closet with humanity's relations. But system hardware or software designer is different, so system analysis and design process is also varied. Then different upper-air sounding systems don't favor the expansion and maintenance.This paper, which is based on research of GZZ11-701C Atmospheric Sounding System, discusses how to use the UML (Unified Modeling Language) to analyze and design the system. It emphasizes system modeling, data calculation, system design and system test. It provides new way of think about development mode of upper-air sounding system software.On the modeling base, I use high-level language VC++ and realize the system in the platform Windows. In the design process, the goal is to make user operation convenient and obtain the reliable data. When meeting two realization difficulties: data view and outlier process, I have consulted many books. I also implemented balloon tests many times in the Shanghai Paoshan meteorological observatory and obtained some precious raw data. Then I carried on data analysis processing in the place, obtained many effective filtering outlier methods. These methods built the foundation for the good effect of curve fitting. Moreover because of system's good expansibility, after revised slightly this system has been able effectively to apply in the wet sensitive electric capacity contrast experiment and the GPS meteorological sounding experiment.All the above research results have been proved to be a success trial of ObjectOriented Method in the atmospheric sounding system, which greatly improve the reusability, extendibility of the system.
