Research And Application On The Information Technology In Hospital Management

The hospital information system is a very complex integrated management system, and its ultimate goal is the patients' health. The whole information is scripless, stored in digital form, all the terminal equipment and medical examination's equipment are connected to the computers, and the various instructions and the examination's result are tranmitted by the internet in the hospital. Thereby, the hospital can fully utilize and share the rich information resources. As long as the patients register and pay the advance money, they will be unimpededly diagnosed, treated and consumed in the whole sections of the hospital. In our country, since the 1980's, the hospital information system has been rapid development, many large hospitals asked the specialized software companies develope information systems which is suited to their needs. Implementing the hospital information system can enhance the hospital's overall lever of the management and the work's efficiency;facilitate the patients and the doctors.This paper is written with the E Gang hospital information system's background. The paper mainly researches the application and development of nurse workstation's system. Firstly, I analysed the hospital information system's status in the hospital informatizational process and its development in the country and abroad. Secondly, I analysed the current informationizational level, the key's problem and the ultima goals about the E Gang hospital. The last, through the analysis and comparison of the database design principles and the structure of the system, the paper chose a more reasonable way to develop the system. So the system will take the structured method during designing the system, use the prototype method during operating the system,adopt the PowerBuilder9.0+Oracle9i in the programming language.This article lists the function and needs of the main module during the developing the nurses workstation. And the article also describes the nurse workstation's operating procedure by the letters and charts.In the end, the paper indicated some inadequacies of the system and took some proposal on improving the system.
