Along with the development of information technology, Internet has already more and more connect with people's work and life, The control system also gradually tends to network. One kind of mature network already widely applied in the Ethernet.In various domains, TCP/IP has become a standard protocol in the Internet. Therefore, how to realize the Ethernet with embedded system has become the popular topic in recent years, Although the Ethernet has obtained the widespread application in industry control network, its application also has its limitation. Between each kind of field bus cannot be mutually compatible, Moreover cannot realize the wide range connection, But Ethernet not in this limit. In the near future, China will witness a rapidly development of industrialization in the stage of middle period. Heavy industry and those inosculate in forward or backward, and high-tech industry will bloom out, so advanced control technology must surely in great need. Compare with the well developed field-bus, Ethernet for industry is just start, we have lost many on the former, we couldn't lose more on the later.Under the background, this paper discusses designing and carrying out of an embedded controller's that base on Ethernet mainly composed of C8051F020 and RTL8019AS, and has obtained the quite good application effect.Firstly, we introduce actuality of field-bus's and Ethernet's, mainly concentrate on the feasible of using Ethernet in industry and advantages of Ethernet to field-bus. We also tell something about founding criterion of Ethernet for industry in the world.Then, we introduce some basic knowledge related to the work, they are: embedded system and embedded software, Ethernet and TCP/IP. While introducing the TCP/IP protocol family, we selectively present some protocols used in the task, and discuss what should be cut to fit the embedded system.In the last two chapters, we narrate the design and realization of hardware and software, some diagram and soft test are presented.Then, we discuss some problems during designing the controller and give the solution.Finally, we summarize the paper, point out the deficient and what should be improved in the following work.
