Power control is the key strategy which determines the interference, as well as the capability in CDMA. In this thesis, the outer loop power control on uplink is studied in detail, based on a typical TDD system– TD-SCDMA.Based on the investigation of power control strategy in TD-SCDMA, the performance of Fixed-Step Outer Loop Power Control strategy on Uplink (FSOLPC), which is adopted currently, is analyzed in detail.To shorten the delay of FSOLPC, three new Adaptive Step Outer Loop Power Control (ASOLPC) algorithms based on prediction are then proposed aiming to trace the rapidly changed channel fast. By taking the advantage of history change and deducing the tendency thereafter, ASOLPC adjusts the power control step, and make the converging time shorted correspondingly.The performance of algorithm is verified on simulation platform, as well as real product environment. Simulation result and running result in real product environment demonstrated that, ASOLPC is prior to FSOLPC in both converging time and stability.
