Research Of The Application Of Mobile Agent Technique In Electronic Commerce

The efficiency of enterprises can be improved and made more competitive by E-Commerce. Consequently, E-Commerce is developing in a swift and violent manner as a new type of commercial mode all over the world. But with the rapid increase of information on the Internet, the traditional technology can not meet the requirement of information development well. Soon, high-efficient E-Commerce system needs to be set up by a new kind of technology. Since the Mobile Agent has the characteristic of movement, cooperation as well as some intelligence, it can compensate the shortcoming of the current E-Commerce system. So how to lead the Mobile Agent into E— Commerce soon becomes the focus of academic and enterprises.Mobile Agent is the "hybrid" of Agent technology and distributed computing technology. In itself, it is the code or program that can be moved from one computer onto another through the network. It can represent users to accomplish designated task, adopt countermeasure autonomously according to environmental change and return results after completing the task.The main purpose of this thesis is to discuss the application of Mobile Agent technology in E-Commerce. Firstly, the thesis introduces the basically theoretical knowledge related to E-Commerce, analyses the development of E-Commerce and the defect of the current E-Commerce system. Secondly, it researches the Agent and Mobile Agent technology, discourses the application of Mobile Agent in E-Commerce.On the foundation of the preceding research work, this thesis designs a B2B E-Commerce prototype system which based on Mobile Agent. It analyzes the frame structure, the subsystems. Then taking the Aglets platform of IBM as the operating environment in which the Mobile Agents run, it realizes this system with Java partially. At last, it summarizes the thesis and looks ahead for future work.
