The Design And Realization Of Internet Video Streaming Media Based On ARM Platform

People's requirements of life quality is more and more higher along with the fast development of network and computer technology. The dishware, as a main store method several years ago , is dropped behind slowly and is replaced by "on line music" and "on line movie".Such kind of multimedia called "streaming media"not only is convient while played ,but also don't keep back any rudimental multimedia data. However, streaming media is used not only in such dissipation and enterment fields, but also to realize stakeout, such as you can watch the work situation of the remote machine in your office, know the water quality of one river, and know the situation of the children in the kindergarton and so on. The stakeout equipments popular in the market currently either can only stakeout in a LAN or have to fit special application software and cannot meet the low cost and general requirements. This design is to design a general low cost watch equipment.This paper expatiates the real time video capature, disposal and transmission system , which is commonly called the network vidicon, based on IP network and the whole is realized on the ARM architecture. The image data collected by the USB vidicon is transimitted to the CPU S3C2410X through the USB interface, and CPU codes the data by application VLC (Video LAN Client), packages data to creat the ASF data stream, transmits out through Internet, and only if the receiver is connected to the Internet the recievier can play the streaming media either through the Windows Media Player included in the Window OS or through the VLC in the Linux OS. And this technology can work across two OS, and in this way this method can realize not only general but also deduce the cost of the application.This paper expatiates the method selection of the whole terminal module, including the selection of OS, streaming format of data and fs, the hardware design and the software realization.
