With the development of science and technology, applications of fiberare used widely,therefore,coupling of light becomes a big issue.Especialy,tapered fiber is applied widely with the merit of improvingcoupling efficiency.But,this paper improves the two parts on "how processhigh quality tapered fiber"and "what shape tapered fiber is the bestneeded". In three traditional tapered fiber processing methods, fusion methodis used widely,but it often give ununiform heating on cylinder fiber whichhave different mechanical performance on different direct. therefore,thestructure of tapered fiber can not be uniform and symmetric.The quality isreduced. The fusion system based on ring hot source give a new method for uniformheating.The source of it is carbon dioxide conduct laser. In addition,this paper presents the designment of microwave heating.weknow that it has better homogeneity and it is important in industryapplication.This paper analyzes the relationship of tapered fiber's shape andcoupling efficiency through ZEMAX software.And under identical conditions,comparing to two balls lens coupling, single ball lens coupling, cylinderlens coupling and cone lens coupling, the efficiency of tapered fibercoupling is higher and the structure is simpler.
