Fiber laser as the third generation of laser, has features such as high power, smallvolume, high reliability, good beam quality. Since cladding pump technology and the rapiddevelopment of optical fiber grating written, uv visible light is more widely used in datastorage, biology and large-scale display technology,and other fields. Therefore thedevelopment and study of optical fiber laser and its far-reaching significance, the research ofoptical fiber laser is difficult as the pump with semiconductor laser tail fiber and specialoptical fiber coupling.This article which is based on the sequential patterns of ZEMAX optical designsoftware, based on the research and analysis on the system coupling, loss and so on, at thesame time in various coupling scheme after theoretical analysis, the coupling simulation,puts forward the final lens coupling in combination.This article can be divided into four parts. The first chapter, this thesis introduces theapplication of multimode fiber to single-mode fiber coupling system, and the home andabroad development of multimode fiber coupling to single-mode fiber. The second chapter,this thesis puts forward four kinds of coupling scheme, based on the input and output opticalfiber, and optical fiber structure and properties were analyzed. Then this article analyzes thecoupling system of the coupling efficiency and loss, puts forward using the grin lens tocompress the beam waist radius, and using ball lens to compress divergence angle, thecombination of the two lens coupling method for multimode optical fiber to the single modeoptical fiber coupling of the system. Through such a coupling system, can effectivelyimprove efficiency of the coupling system. The third chapter, the multimode optical fiberand single mode fiber energy were simulated, and three methods of coupling mentioned inthe second chapter was simulated by using ZEMAX optical design software. In the fourthchapter, after the theoretical analysis and simulation, experimental platform was set up, withthe theory of experimental verification, and the detailed analysis of the result of theexperiment was made.
