| A method designs of high coupling efficiency fiber coupling system between a single-mode fiber and a laser diode based on Zemax's pure non-sequential components. First the laser diode is simulated the side of the emitting surface on Zemax, rather than seen as a point source in the design of the coupling system; the news coupling system is improved on the original aspherical surface system, and its coupling efficiency is larger than 54% using one million ray traces. In the propagation, the coupling efficiency is analysed because of axial displacements, lateral displacements and angular tolerance between the single-mode fiber and coupling system. Using the software Zemax and Origin calculate the figures of the coupling efficiency under the axial displacements, lateral displacements and angular tolerance, and provide the theoretical analysis and technical support for the engineering installation. The mechanical structures which are fit to the fiber coupling system are designed based on PRO E, including:the mechanical structures of every glasses elements and the whole mechanical structure.The thesis includes six chapter. The first is introduced the application of the laser diode, development of the coupling between laser diode and fiber in internal and external. The second is introduced the knowledge of the fiber, including:configuration, classify and the loss of the fiber and how to simulate the fiber in zemax. The third is introduced the knowledge of the laser diode including:the characteristic and astigmatism of the laser diode, how to simulate the laser diode in zemax. The fourth is introduced the coupling methods the coupling tolerance between laser diode and fiber, the knowledge of the film. The fifth is introduced the design method of the coupling system, analysed the coupling tolerance for the system and parameter of every elements. The sixth is introduced the mechanical structures for the coupling system,including:every element and the whole system. |
