CTI ( Computer Telephony Integration ) is a comprehensive technology which is developed with the computer technology was utilized in the communication sector after the telephone network entered into the digital era. Since the digital telecommunication technology took the place of the analog technology, computer was not only a controller for the exchanging and transmitting, but also a part of voice communication, it could extend the intelligent voice to each corner of the telecommunication network. The CTI developed from the simple voice mail box, to intelligent network, IP phone, ATM, unified message technology, interactive conversation etc. Among those, IP phone and IVR( Interactive Voice Respond) are the most fast and promising technologies, which have already infiltrated into the wireless communication network and multimedia network.The background and design philosophy of this system is: a large number of suppliers supply different middleware with the similar functions, then according to the different clients and manufacturers, different integrators developed different integrated products with the similar functions, furthermore, such a product has a very low interchangeability. One product which is developed for one customer could be hardly utilized in another project, thus leads much repeating work for the integrator.If a virtual CTI hardware server could be developed, and by abstracting andcollecting the normal function joints in the utilization of CTI, enclosing them in the form of object or API to shield the differences among the hardware of CTI, then a base supporting platform could be formed for the utilization of CTI, and system compatibility and capability to extend could be ensured to the most extent regardless of the hardware. In the system as demonstrated in this article, the application requirement could be satisfied by revision of the basic function unit, and by combination of various basic function unit, various application mode could also be satisfied. In this way, the flexibility of the system could be highly increased, moreover, repeating work could be mostly eliminated, efficiency of developing system could be enhanced and maintenance expense could be saved.The advanced philosophy of the design, open and flexible structure and good inter-platform capability could be utilized to various sectors such as: telegraphic, finance, government, taxation, ecology, hospital, middle and small electricity corporation, real estate/ possession management/ real estate consultancy company, tourism, midlle and small banks, air corporation ( airport ), railway, manufacturing, electric utility, transportation, motor sales, trading company, police, cigarette etc.. |
