Research On Technology Knowledge Ontology Building And Description Method

In the field of technology spreading, the sources of information are various, therefore, most of the information must be processed deeply in order to the goal of information sharing and interoperability. With the information construction of cities and towns, a lot of industries have established their own management information systems, however, because of the exist of isomeric state between different database and application system, the information exchange, distributing and sharing between different systems are diffcult, which hampers the efficiency of technology spreading to some extent. For the purpose of solving this problem, especially to satisfy requirement of information sharing on Web, we introduce the theory of ontology to the field of technology spreading. On the base of analysis about several existing ontology building methods, we create an ontology builing method called Cascade of our own. We use it to establish the technology knowledge ontology and then using this ontology to present technology knowledge. At the same time, we also present the definitions of entity concepts and the semantic relations among the ontology. In order to describe the established technology ontology, we designed a markup language called TechML (Technology Markup Language), which made the technology knowledge can be reused, interoperated and shared by different system. The design, module and implementing of some important elements in TechML are all presented in this thesis. At last, we present three different methods about how to use the TechML in the practice of technology spreading. Propouding a standard description method about technology knowledge data; Designing a Web based technology spread flat and made some demostrantion works which focus on TechML on it; At the end, propounding a technology knowledge data exchanging module based on TechML. This thesis also can be regarded as a reference of research works which focus on the building of ontology like technology ontology and description about it.
