Research On Completion Of Ontology-based Knowledge Base

In recent years, the ontology technology as the main method to express knowledge has become a research hotspot. The ontology-based knowledge base not only overcomes the insufficiency and the defect of traditional knowledge base, but also through using ontology features in the application of knowledge expressing, effectively improves the sharing and reuse of the knowledge base.Under the premise of hypothesis that closed logical knowledge base, according to the rule of fail to deny, Completion is to analysis and combine the positive unit clauses in the logic knowledge base which are about same relationship.This paper will introduce the process of completion into ontology-based knowledge base, which not only enriches the knowledge for ontology-based knowledge base, adding new basis for knowledge base reasoning, but also provides a new evaluation method. Therefore, research on the completion of ontology-based knowledge base has great significance.First of all, the paper introduces the subject background, summarizes the ontology representation, principles and applications. Secondly, it makes a definition of ontology, introduces knowledge base system and expression means, and the reason of introducing ontology into the knowledge base through summarizing the characters of ontology expresses. Based on this the paper introduces the ontology-based knowledge base and makes a compare with the general database. Then introduces emphatically description logic and language ALC based on description logic, giving example for the ontology-based knowledge base. Finally, the paper defines completion and proves its validity by verifying its theorem, makes contrast with generally reasoning method, puts forward the method of adding complete rules, demonstrates meaning for the basic reasoning and more general reasoning of ontology-based knowledge base by examples.Results of the paper is to define the complete process, putting forward the constructing method of complete rules, and to illustrate how to complete ontology-base knowledge base by examples, demonstrate the significance of complete ontology knowledge base for the reasoning of knowledge base.
