High quality audio coding & decoding is one of the most important and fundamental part of modern digital communication network , internet multimedia and digital broadcast. The implementation of high quality audio coding & decoding is always at the research frontier. This thesis researches MPEG - 1 Layer III audio decoding algorithm , and integer and lossless MDCT and re-quantization algorithm with memory limited have been implemented in audio decoding chip.The MDCT is one of the most crucial step in digital audio coding. This thesis shows the MDCT & IMDCT implementation , which would contribute mostly to the lossless audio coding.Memory limited is one problem in chip design , and how to balance calculation speed and memory demanding is an difficult problem. This thesis puts forward a modified re-quantization algorithm which solves it preferably. |
