Lossless audio compression technology is a technique that not only preserves the essence of the sound but also restores the precise bit information in that sound. However, lossy compression technology removes imperceptible information in order to achieve high compression ratio. As the representatives of lossy compression technology, MP3, AAC, WMA have penetrated into people's daily life and created a market worthy of billions. But, with the booming development of network and storage, the advantage of lossy compression is no longer attractive. On the contrary, lossless compression delivers high sample rate and high quality sound at lossless quality, and it becomes more and more attractive in the marketplace.
