Research On The Bibliographic Control Of National Archival Information Resources

With the development of the construction of electronic government and the activities of government information publicity, information resources communion has become a common trend. In such information environment, archival Information, a kind of important resource that possesses special value, should be integrated as a whole in order to accomplish the social communion, and only by this way can it embody its own worth sufficiently. To attain such target, we must carry out the whole scheme in the procedure of collection, organization, process and management of national or regional archival information resources. And these work's implementation needs a very effective mechanism of control and coordination. Based on our country's current conditions of archival information resources' distribution, and considering that our country has founded three national archival catalogue information centers and some regional archival catalogue information centers, this paper starts with expounding of the conception of bibliographic control, and systematically probes into the problem of national archival information resources' integration from the point of view of macro-management.This thesis includes four chapters:Chapter One: Archival catalogue, national archival information resources and bibliographic control. Beginning with the meaning of bibliographic control, this chapter analyzes the inherent connections among archival catalogue, archival information resources and bibliographic control, and provides the theoretical basis of research of national archival information resources.Chapter Two: The principles, contents, significances of the bibliographic control of national archival information resources. This chapter puts forward the basic principles of the bibliographic control of national archival information resources, and expounds its basic working principium and main contents, and points out its practical, cultural and scientific significances.Chapter Three: The model and its realization of bibliographic control of national archival information resources. This chapter discusses the architecture of managerial model of the system of bibliographic control of national archival information resources, and how to carry out these models into execution, which is the core content of this thesis.Chapter Four: The functional development of bibliographic control of national archival information resources. From the point of view of protecting national cultural resources this chapter probes into the problem of integration of national archival information resources, library resources and museum resources, and the integration of national archival information resources and electronic government information resources from the point of view of national E-government's macro-layout.
