Editing and Publishing Education is the strategic task of publishing industry, it is also related to the material and spiritual construction. As the main approach to bring up publishing talents, editing and publishing higher education must be paid more attention to. Though enjoying a history of scores of years, generally, the editing and publishing higher education of China is still under a poor condition and has lots of problems.Systemically concluding and summarizing the development of the editing and publishing higher education of China, introducing the education situation of the main universities of China, widely collecting and reasoningly analyzing various of information, calmly thinking about the actuality of the editing and publishing education, giving advice to the innovation and the next development of the editing and publishing higher education of China, these are the major ideas of this thesis.This thesis consists of six parts.Part I covers a general introduction to the editing and publishing higher education of China.This is the starting part of the whole thesis and makes a classification of the phases of the editing and publishing higher education of China: starting phase, turndown phase, redeveloping phase and climax phase. Then, the thesis introduces the actuality of the editing and publishing education in the universities of China.Part II is concerned with the curriculum structure of the editing and publishing higher education of China.In this part, a comparison and contrast is made on the curriculum setting and curriculum categorization of the universities of China.Part III introduces the construction of the teaching material of the editing and publishing education.This part is based on lots of source materials and pays more attention to reflect and analyze the actuality.Part IV is about the teaching mode of the editing and publishing education.New teaching modes that we can use for reference and extend will be brought forward in this part.Part V sums up the obtain employment of the editing and publishing education of China.Part VI is related to the expectation of the editing and publishing education's future.This is the finality part of the whole thesis. The problems in Chinese publishing education and some valuable countermeasures are put forward as well.
