With the modern industrial equipment developing towards enlargement, consecution, super speed and automation, more and more people pay attention to the failure diagnosis technology of mechanical equipment. Keeping the continuous production and reducing the time of equipment, especially important equipment, is the base of enterprise's high economic benefit. And technology of computerized automatic continuous monitoring and diagnosis provides a valid solution. Firstly, some research on diagnosis theory and fault signal is carried out and concluded that diagnosis process needs wavelet analysis; secondly, theory basis of wavelet analysis is researched. Emphasis to its explanation of engineering is given. According to analyze concrete performance, the appropriate wavelet function for diagnosis is obtained; thirdly, research on the application of wavelet transform in non-steady signal is conducted. It is made out that wavelet analysis in these signals has a great advantage over Fourier analysis. From wavelet analysis, the fault feature of highly speed wire rod effective method the same kind accident can be avoided and the fault situation can be confirmed for the future. Fourthly, research on the application of wavelet transform in signal noise reduction is conducted. The approach of noise reduction based on wavelet de-noise and wavelet packet de-noise is proposed. The results of experiments with simulation signals and real signals show that the approach can be applied to noise reduction effectively. Lastly, research on the application of wavelet transform in feature extraction is conducted and demonstrated its merit on fault diagnosis according to the experiments of real signals. According to the situation of equipment management and safety requirement of blast furnace's fan system, Wuhan Iron & Steel Prix has raised this thesis. For insuring the blast furnace's fan system hasn't gone wrong, reducing the man interference, and increasing the self-adaptability, editor brings up the technology of computerized automatic continuous monitoring and diagnosis. In order to make the product has certainly in general use, the thesis studies at all kinds of rotating machine to make the product adapt to all kinds of rotating machine or big part rotating machine.
