Research And Implementation Of Career Information System In Digital Campus

The college graduate job administration has many characteristics, such as strictpolitical features, intense timeliness, wide aspects, large information demand, andhigh service workload. Constructing a Career Information System, which satisfies allkinds of people, will help to enhance efficiency and improve quality of relatedinstructional organization. As a result, THCC(Career Center of Tsinghua University)and THCIC (Computer and Information Management Center of Tsinghua University)startup the development of Career Information System together.Graduate job management is an indispensable aspect of whole studentadministration in college, which covers from students' enrollment to graduation. TheCareer Information System designed and developed in the thesis is a part of DigitalCampus, which makes use of several services provided by Digital Campus, such asdata exchange, information publication, uniform identity authentication andapplication roam.The thesis presents that, the object of the Career Information System is realizinginformatization for THCC, providing a uniform communication platform forindividuals and college branches, and turning into an application system of DigitalCampus at last. By analyzing system business flows, the thesis sums up systemfunctions, user types, and relations with external systems. System functions aredivided into two parts, business sub system and portal sub system. The formerconcludes graduates administration, recruit process administration, graduate protocoladministration, etc. The portal sub system mainly realizes information publicationfunction and user identity authentication.On the base of system analysis, the thesis designs the system in several aspects,such as system structure, adoptive technology scheme, and database. During thesystem structure design process, the thesis introduces the usage design of the relatedbasic services of Digital Campus in detail. In the technology scheme aspect,lightweight J2EE component is adopted, and Struts framework is used to realize thisWEB system. When carry through the database design, the newest collegeinformation standard is combined to design the data structure, a self-defined classlibrary to data access has been designed and realized by me, and data exchange isdesigned with the basic services of Digital Campus. At last, the thesis realizes everylayer of system technology framework, and implements the usage of related basicservices of Digital Campus.The Career Information System has been devoted into running officially in Nov2004, people can provide and enjoy the graduate job services through internet, itmakes the graduate leaving school administration convenient, and it helps THCC toreport administration of graduate job project.
