Data Warehousing(DW), Data Mining(DM) and Online AnalyticalProcessing(OLAP) are presently the comparatively significant and matureapplication technology in the field of Decision Support System. The tight andseamless integration of the three technologies makes DM and OLAPcomplement their advantages to each other, and thus promotes thedevelopment of the technology of OLAM. But the big difference between DMand OLAP in the aspects of data basics and analytical hierarchies has resultedin lots of problems of the technology of OLAM in its theoretical basis andapplication. The problems in the application mainly exist in the two aspects oflacking uniform framework model and slow speed of response.In this dissertation, the author makes some attempts in the application ofOLAM, and summarizes the preliminary application instance. The authorfurther puts forward an integral framework of the application of OLAM in theTelecom Hold and Retain System, and establishes a uniform conceptual modeland logical model. In addition, the author presents his own view on the stepsand flow of modeling, especially in layered logical modeling.In the author's view, the establishing of a Work Database(WDB)caneffectively reduce the pressure on the processing of Data Warehouse (DW),and through the ways of saving data in one stage as a buffer, the respondspeed of OLAM can be picked up and meanwhile the OLAM tracing can berealized.Through the technology of Web Services, the author develops an OLAMClient by Web Services in a uniform systemic frame, with the Clienteffectively integrating professional data mining software into J2EEapplication framework.
