At present, the information is exploding in our society. Requests and concern about information processing are growing with each passing day. So the efficient data processing tools has became one hot research focuses in current Information Technology field.In the existing tool, OLAP deals with the interactive inquiry of the multidimensional data. Data mining tools can find out the potential useful knowledge that hides in the data. Both of them have been developed and researched for a long time. On this basis, the academia has put forward the idea of OLAM which had combined the advantages of the above two and offered the method of the interactive multidimensional data mining on the data cube.The efficient data mining algorithm is the core of OLAM. Besides introducing the OLAM system, this thesis focuses on the amlysis of the efficient data mining algorithm. The series algorithms of ID3 and SLIQ are two kinds of representative algorithms in categorising methods of Decision tree. Based on the algorithm research, this thesis has put forward the improvement method of the algorithm which has the actual meaning to perfect the OLAM mining system further in the future.
