As cognizance and management mankind has improved, the description about the world becomes more and more comprehensive, as a result the storage of data increase rapidly. However, the development and the application of data base system cannot satisfy the requirement of the information system. From abundant existing data resource, people cannot acquire the potential association rapidly and efficaciously. Under this situation, data warehouse, on-line analytical processing (OLAP) and data mining has come out. With the development of these technologies, on-line analytical processing mining (OLAM), the amalgamation of these techniques has generated. On-line analytical processing mining is a close integration of the OLAP and data mining. It has become the hotspot in the realm of data warehouse and data mining.This paper studies and discusses the technique of on-line analytical processing mining from many points of view. The algorithm of multi-dimension and multi-level association rule is studied and the MD-Apriori algorithm and the ML&MD-Ada- FP algorithm are put forward. The MD-Apriori algorithm is the amelioration of the Apriori algorithm and has better effect on multi-dimension association rule mining. The ML&MD-Ada-FP algorithm is the amelioration of the Adaptive-FP algorithm and emphasizes the multi-level association rule mining.According to the algorithm and the production of data warehouse and the OLAP that has existed, a model of on-line analytical processing mining is designed in this paper. The model uses the 3-tier application system based on Browser/Server architecture, including the building of data warehouse, the design of the OLAP engine and the design of the OLAM engine.Actuality of the power industrial application where the data warehouse and the OLAM is integrated is also discussed in this paper. These advanced multi-dimension algorithm and model are applied to some practical project and proved to be feasible and spurious.
