Scanning Tunneling Microscope(STM) is one of the instruments widely used in nanometer science and technology at present. We can observe a single atom at real-time due to STM's resolving power up to 0.1 nm.Scanning Tunneling Spectroscopy(STS) is a kind of atomic information obtained by use of STM. It is a new method of analyzing atomic structure and has many uses in nanometer research. We can also operate a single atom by using STS. In the world, the study on STS is gradually forming a new atomic spectrum subject.The primary tools of researching STS are STM and the special software of measuring and analyzing STS.STM.IPC-205B model STM was developed by the college of math and physics of Chongqing university. It has acquired the science and technology advancement medal of Chongqing. Its technic level is at a advantage in the country. Because of some cause, it has no the software of measuring and analyzing STS. The purpose of this article is to develop this software for STM.IPC-205B model STM.This article analyses the use cases of measuring and analyzing STS and the frame work, of the software. This article also analyses the hardware conditions of the software. This article designs the software by means of VC++6.0 and realizes measuring and analyzing STS at windows operation system.With the gathering STS by using digital oscillographs, this software is more precise and more convenient in gathering STS. The gatherd data with this software may be direct analyzed. We can obtain more STS information from the data. This software offers a new function and higher value to STM.The test of the software in STM.IPC-205B model STM shows that the measauring precision and the power of data processing of this software have both achieved the design requests. The software has certain practicality and can meet the need of general nanometer research.
