Tension control plays a very important role in the coiling and processing industry, such as paper-making, printing and dyeing, textile, printing and packaging, rubber, steel rolling, metallurgy, etc. The quality of tension control is directly related to the quality of the product and performance of the device. In the thesis, the research and development of new lead sheet coiling machine was taken as the object of study, and in-depth research about electro-hydraulic servo control technology, indirect tension control principle and related systems of lead piece coiling machine was carried out.At first, based on the summary of domestic and international electro-hydraulic servo tension control technology, the composition characteristics and applications of electro-hydraulic servo control system and the application of tension control system were summarized. Besides, the current development of domestic and international electro-hydraulic tension control system is demonstrated as well.Secondly, considerring the situation that in the winding process of lead sheet coiler, the tension control instability will cause uneven thickness of the lead sheet and affect the quality of lead sheet. In this paper, based on the in-depth analysis of the theory about tension generation and control principle and work process, the main factors of the lead sheet coiler tension control effect was explored according to the lead electrolysis process requirements and the actual working conditions of lead sheet coiling machine Then, the moment of inertia compensation and coil diameter calculation and correction method which will improve the precision of tension control were put forward. And the electro-hydraulic servo tension control system based on the constant linear velocity and constant tension was designed, which was utilizing hybrid control method of phase separation in electro-hydraulic servo valve controlled hydraulic motor speed control process and electro-hydraulic proportional relief valve controlled hydraulic motor tension control process.Thirdly, according to the analysis of lead sheets coiler electro-hydraulic servo tension control system, the mathematical model of lead sheet coiler production line system was established and deduced by adopting segmentation modeling and session modeling. Then, the system was simulated in Matlab software.At last, for the problems of parameters time-varying, non-linear and multi-interference of lead sheet coiler electro-hydraulic servo tension control system, the control of model reference adaptive applied was applied in electro-hydraulic servo tension system. The winding segment electro-hydraulic speed servo MRAC and electro-hydraulic tension MRAC control system and contact winding segment electro-hydraulic position servo MRAC control system were designed, and the system was simulated and analyzed by Matlab/Simulink. By contrasting the simulation results of electro-hydraulic servo tension PID and MRAC control, PID control performance was poor, overshoot exists in the system and the system was unstable. However, the MRAC control could effectively adapt to the parameters time-varying and the interference of external load, had a strong adaptive ability, the capability of interference suppression and robustness, and control was better than PID control. In addition, designed the experiments of lead sheet coiling machine speed detection aspects, the experimental results showed that the speed detection aspects for lead roll diameter measurement was reliable and accurate, and the coiling machine could satisfy the requirement of the constant line speed coiling lead sheet.
