The distributed system on Web based is the mostly used computer system at themoment and might be in the future. The key technical part and the content of theapplication of the national enterprise is accessing data, data format switch, logiccontrol, data transmit, data expression and so on. Java has all these advantages, andit has been choosen to develoep a B/S system as the development language andplatform. The system developed in this study is a complex book management system. Thesystem includes three major parts: system management, client browsering, and dataserver. The main functions of the system management are user managements, such as useraccount, user password;book management, such as adding new book, deleting oldbook, and managing return and borrow the books.Client browser surports the common users to manage their own information, suchas select the books and borrow the books.Data server stroes all kinds of the data. The system was divided into N levels from the view level to the performance level. The view level is intuition and convenient for the users. The delegation leveltransforms the data from view level to logic level by DTO, and returns the result tothe view level. The logic level is the most important part of the system, suach asinitializing dadabase connection and access. The advantage of the system is: theplatform independent, so the application based on J2EE platform can be transplantedto the different platforms. Also, Java is safe and strict, and the code written in Javecan be trusted in general.
