The Design About MP3 Digital Audio Player

With rapid development of computer technology, microelectronics anddigital signal processing, various kinds of consumer electronic products havealso revolutionarily changed, producing many new technologies and new products.With wide deployment of network multimedia technology and rapid developmentof digital audio and video technology, various video and audio data compressionstandards and the correspondent terminals have emerged, forming the newaugmentation point of consumer electronic products.The MPEG stands for Moving Picture Experts Group, which is theinternational organization for video and audio data compression. The audio datacompression standard is a 3-layer standard in which layer 3 is called MP3. TheMP3 player compliant with the layer 3 audio compression is one of the mostwelcome digital audio receivers.This thesis first introduces digital audio coding technology ofpsychological factors, analysis/synthesize filter banks etc. and MP3algorithms and standards in detail, then emphasizes on the principle and usageof STA015 audio decoding chip manufactured by the ST Semiconductor Company.Afterwards, this thesis discusses and completed the design of the MP3 playercircuits, software and appearance embedded by the STA015 chip as the core. Atthe same time, the entire product design documents and product technicalstandard documents have been compiled, to meet the demands of mass productionof the products.After large quantity of investigations and experiments, with hard work,the MP3 player has been successfully developed, passing thethe evaluation of the TianJin Municipal Science and Technology Commission,realizing small quantity of production. The achievement of the project not onlyprovides the enterprise with high tech quality and high market potential productand also lays concrete foundation for the enterprise to march on to the digitalaudio product market.
