Civil Aviation Weather Service is for the purpose of flying safe and improveing efficiency .With the raise up of the civil aviation, more and more new request for the weather service is needed. And with the development of the meteorological science, amounts of meteorological data need to be collected and be used. So a meteorological database system is necessary to manage the data and to offer the data service, so that the user can utilize the data easily and conveniently. The characteristics of the weather information are: lots of data types, complex data formats, huge amount, and most users always use data at the same time.Data management system is based on the C/S structure.It is mainly used in data maintenance daily. It is used to archive the database watching function, and is used as the backup system of searching information by weather forecaster by using the search function. But it is mainly used on the database maintaining such as manage and customize local database system, manage database tables, amend the datadictionaries, clean and archive the database objects and accredit the database users.The database management system is based on the Oracle9i. The data management system was developed on the platform of Windows operation system and of Oracle Developer 6i. Using the Oracle Developer suit, which is afforded by Oracle Corporation, a seamless connection to the database is established, so the speed to visit the database is faster and the programmer is easy. This software is transplantable and can be use in Unix operation system after compiled. This systemcan also be turned into B/S structure conveniently without rewrite the program.
