| Tonight Show is an entertainment-motivated program, first broadcasted in 2003 by Eastern Satellite TV station. In order to make the audiences relax and laugh, the program integrates all the possible entertainment factors which leads it maintains high audience rating since it appears. Tonight Show makes the audiences laugh mainly through "tell the news", "interview" and "short film". According to these three forms, the article analyses the way the entertainment factors integrates and their social reasons.The article contains four chapters. The first chapter gives a brief introduction about the orientation, content, hosts and the entertainment factors of Tonight Show; The second chapter analyses the special laugh-making ways in telling news in which the news and jokes are integrated and comic dialogue is made into use. Also the social reason why satirize and humor of comic dialogue can go on in Tonight Show is discussed; The third chapter explains the characteristic of interview in Tonight Show. The interview goes on in stream of consciousness. It never incites the guests to cry and the relationship between the host and guest is not aking or reply but communicating; The fourth chapter analyses how the short films make audiences laugh through internet language. Besides, it also discusses why internet language becomes popular in society. |
