The Application Of Workflow Technology In Land Use Planning Management System

The traditional land information system aims at managing graphics and correlative information, emphasizing particularly on space database or satisfying the demand of design. With the expansion of business in land department and the beginning of new land use planning, the traditional land information system can no longer meet current requirements. Nowadays, the establishment of land use planning management system in new situation, demands us not only to manage land planning, but also to build a consummate OA system, so it is an inevitable trend to apply workflow technology to land use planning management system.Firstly, this paper introduces workflow technology and the actuality and trend of GIS, and analyzes the deficiency of current land use planning system, especially that without the support of workflow technology. Then it points out the necessity to combining workflow technology and GIS.Secondly, this paper studies the modeling method of workflow technology, giving some models exists in the process of land use planning after analyzing land use planning operation flows, and builds different models using the modeling methods of workflow.Thirdly, this paper defines the object and work item in the system. After showing the order flow, branch flow and join flow logically, this paper gives the descriptions of some operation flows in the system, showing this kind of describing method is suitable. Then this paper discusses project background, design target and characteristics of function of land use planning management system based on workflow technology, emphasizing the design and realization of two main sub system, also gives some pictures of the system in running state, implementing the theory partly through the developing a real system.Finally, this paper summarizes and indicates the prospect of research.
