The Design And Implement Of Business Continuity Model Based On Group Communication

In order to improve the usability of distributed systems, most investigators import redundancy into the systems. Group communication is a widely used technology of the space redundancy, and it is an important research field in distributed systems.Both active replication and passive replication in group communication system are limited in implementing the false-tolerance and disaster-tolerance distributed systems. In this paper, it has presented a business continuity model based on semi-passive replication, which takes in the advantages of both former replication techniques. Based on passive replication, the semi-passive replication makes every node be able to play the role of primary node, and this implement not only assures the consistency of the data on different nodes, but also solves the problem that the primary node may become the bottleneck in the passive replication. The presented two phase commit agent makes our model more universal.Jgroup is a toolkit implemented by Java RMI, which implements the idea of active replication and provides the functions of Group Communication System. In this paper, it has implemented the business continuity model which implements the idea of semi-passive replication with the functions provided by Jgroup. In the process of implementing, according to the functions provided by Jgroup, it shows two different implementing quomodos: the quomodo which implements the Server's function only with EGMI and another quomodo which implements the Server's function with EGMI and IGMI, and has analysed the business continuity of both implementing quomodos detailedly.At last, in this paper, it has practiced the business continuity model into a real project which is provided by Dalian Data Center. The aim of the project is to redevelop on the basis of the fundamental functions of this project, apply the implement idea of the instance described before into the project by modifying the implement code, and modify the implementing quomodo according to the particularity of the project. In the end, the business continuity of the project is also discussed.
