It has had great influence on worldwide economic development and become one of the deciders for governments to formulate economic policies.Based on an open Internet, any transaction message of electronic commerce transmitted through Internet would be probably intercepted, so it is greatly demanding to solve the security problem for developing electronic commerce. Electronic commerce consists of network security and business transaction security. Encryption technology, security system and security protocols are the major supports for present business transaction, while security protocol usually adopts SSL and SET protocol.SET is an open technical standard for the commerce industry as a way to facilitate secure payment of card transactions over Internet. SET has been adapted to solve many security problems that once stranded the development of electronic commerce by laying down standards and adopting various technical measures. At present it has been recognized by IETF and become an actual industrial standard.However, With restrictions of encryption and deciphering solutions, such as most solutions are merely deployed by virue of the algorithms of DBS and RSA,Plus both algorithms were once deciphered .As the consequence,The security of SET is being chanllenged. Meanwhile US government also sets strict limition over cryptogram products export, Other nations hence more would like to use their own Encryption/Deciphering algorithms. SET adaptability and security without doubt must satisfy higher requirements.
