In recent years, from discovered about in the correspondence network technology information, it is always related to the more and more high band width demand. With the quantity unceasingly grows, telephone, facsimile, modem and computer are demanding more and more high to the band width, to transmit the Gbit digitized information (video frequency, picture, constructs model procedure as well as data and pronunciation and so on).With the huge demanding of band width, the optical network is drawed out, and the optical transponsder module is arised.In order to provide reliable, high performance light interface to the key application such as optical fiber channel, the ethernet, SONET/SDH and so on, support day by day complex communication link management, the people widely used the performance monitor technology in the communications system. The digital diagnosis function of optical transponder module provided one low cost performance monitor method.By digital diagnosis function of optical transponder module, the network management unit may monitor the temperature, power supply, bias current, transmit power and receive power of optical transponder module. Through measuring this parameter, management unit can find the fault position of optical link, simplify the maintenance work, and enhance the reliability of system.The paper is under the background of "4.25G optical transponsder module with digital diagnosis function",whicn is the project of Shenzhen hi-optel Technology Co., Ltd.It introduces the principle, purpose and the realize scheme of digital diagnosis function, gives the scheme of optical transponsder evaluate board, including the principle of communication interface design, firmware and the program of PC, analyzes the precise of diagnosis data, including the error sources, which effect the precise of diagnosis data, introduces a way to improve the precise of data. It centers on the way, which uses calibration to improve the precise. On the basis of analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the present scheme, it gives an improvement scheme—On the Lab VIEW plantform of auto testing system, involve with softwareand hardware architecture of auto testing system.As a consequence, there are partial program of PC and hardware design PCB chat of optical transponder evaluate board in the appendix of the paper.
