Our research is based on the thorough studies on the current situations of heat calculating and measuring system and on the theories of IC card heat meter. We endeavor to design and develop IC card heat meter for home use with the micro-controller unit of Motorola Single Chip Microcomputer of MC68HC908GP32 model. In this thesis, we design and test the electrical circuit modules of this kind of heat meter beginning with hardware design, conduct the design of the software for heat meter, and devise the IC card writer. As a result, we realize the functions of IC card controlling, heat measuring, and flux displaying. In the first chapter, we briefly discuss the history and the significance of researches on heat meter, and introduce the concepts of SCM, heat meter, and IC card, and the structure of this thesis. Chapter two basically deals with the designing scheme, calculating and measuring theory, and requirements of design on IC card heat meter. In chapter three, we discuss the hardware models, and the design and making of hardware circuits for IC card heat meter. The successive chapter, that is chapter four, elaborates the design of software for IC card heat meter. Chapter five introduces the significance and methods of devising a low power and anti-jamming of IC card heat meter. In chapter six, we conduct the testing on the IC card heat meter. We manage to make an IC card reader on the base of some references. In this way, we put forward a testing scheme on IC card heat meter. We also draw some conclusions on the system testing and present some personal view points. The last chapter handles this subject concisely and discusses some unsolved aspects of our studies and probes into the prospect of IC card heat meter.
