Research Of Value-Added Service Based On WAP

With the rapid development of technology in Computer Science, Mobile Communications and Internet, value-added service of mobile Internet has got a wider development space than ever. Mobile communications and Internet are two focuses of the information industry now and they produce mobile Internet and its applications, which bring enormous business opportunity to the information industry. The combination of these two focuses is WAP. It is a set of standards for developing applications in mobile network as the same way as in Internet. Value-added service based on WAP will have wide development space.This paper discusses the WAP value-added service system model based on deep research of WAP, and analysis the function module in three aspects such as mobile terminal, gateway and source server. Based on the module, we design application platform of WAP valued-added service. The main function of this platform is providing information services for mobile phone users, such as downloading and exploring based on WAP. The designs of WAP application platform include: establishing WAP server, setting up testing environment and implementing the program of the platform operation. The server terminal can build browser interface and storage the content of database dynamically by programming. The paper presents and implements the plan that pictures can automatically switch its scale adapting for mobile screen's scale and the plan of code transformation.The system's practical circulation indicates that the system run well, it has strong self-adaptive capability, it also can be configured flexibly brings favorable economic benefit for enterprises.
