The Design And Implementation Of Flexible Material Management System

Material management is one of the primary components of enterprise management. High level material management will helpful for the improvement of benefits. Material management system is an important part of ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) system. With variety of markets and outer environments, enterprises usually have different management policies and methods. But most of current material management systems cannot fit all kinds of varieties perfectly. Under this circumstance, this dissertation presents and implements a Flexible Material Management System.First, the dissertation introduces the basic functions of general material management system. Then it gives a presentation on the features of flexible management and the technologies applied in implement of flexibility. Second, my dissertation describes the key business workflow and sum up the functions of the material management Then it analyzes the demands of flexibility. Third, my dissertation presents the design and implement of some general business functions in detail, including serial number management, purchase business management and search module. Last, the dissertation introduces the implement of the flexibility feature in the system, including flexible invoices, flexible auditing flow and flexible business process reengineering.The flexible material management system, we presented, based on MVC design module, and using data dictionary, Object-Oriented and form-driven technology to realize the system's flexible feature. we implemented the system at a manufacture enterprise and a trade enterprise successfully. And the author believes that the flexible technique and method applied in our system will be helpful to the developers in related field.
