The Design And Implementation Of A Material Integrated Information Management System Based On B/S

With the development of services of S company, the present manual handling of materials is far lagging behind with the development of its services. Because the present information management of materials completely depends on manual work, consequently, more administrative levels and various managements make data statistics slow, especially much slower in integrated information processing. All these will not meet the demands of modern materials handling. As the neighborhood is steadily becoming information-oriented, an irresistible trend is that production and working efficiency is promoted through sharing information and supplying information mutually.In order to improve the speed of material circulation favorably, shorten the circulating time of product, cut down the overstocking of products and finally enhance the economic benefit in a company. Therefore, the establishment of information system becomes inevitable.Through an analysis and research of materials management in S company, this thesis has successfully designed and implemented a general information managerial system for materials management based on 3 tiers B/S. The thesis is organized as follows. It first studies related technology concerning material information management and material management flow. Then, it analyzes and designs in great detail the key modules of the service using UML, and finally implements the basic functions for material management system.
