The traditional game content site development always focuses on one concrete game for one or multiple business requirement, which makes huge resource wasting in practice because of the content are usually developed repeatedly. For enhancing content reusability and reducing the site building and maintenance cost, using Web Content Management System to centralize generate and manage all game content site is a useful solution. WCMS is one kind of content management system, which focus on create and manage web content and support related Web application. It is used for manage huge dynamic web content include HTML page, image and video. It made content's create, control and edit very convenient. It also provides very important network maintenance function.This paper studies using web content management system for company's game content site's management, including both requirements analyze and implementation solution. We use SDL Tridion as our Web Content Management System platform. By analyzing the present challenges for company's online business, we designed an implementation solution based on SDL Tridion technical features. The solution focus on five aspects, including content organization structure, physical architecture, content localization process, site approval workflow and data storage schema. Innovations in this article are as follows:1. Introduce a four layer content organization structure based on current game content site's business characteristic. It can share the content between different game content sites to enhancing content reusability and reducing the site building and maintenance cost. This organization structure can support standard localization process also.2. Introduce a site approval workflow solution based on SDL Tridion event system to support different area and departments'site content approval requirement. It includes approval process, Email notice, publish check and log.3. Introduce a system physical architecture to support the site content security requirement based on SDL Tridion content delivery architecture.4. According to game content's characteristics, we design a schema system for content and data's storage and category. Current system contains nineteen content Schemas, twenty presentation schemas, seven metadata schema and a dozen other support schemas. Current schema system already covers most of the game content storage and category requirements.Over thirty different game brands use this platform to manage their content-related resources. In addition to using the platform to save the content, part of the game brands have successfully created and deployed their site based on this platform.
