Manufacturing informationization is gradually applied into workshop level, which plays an important role as the link between enterprise management and production practice in manufacturing enterprise, therefore, workshop becomes the meeting point of logistics and information flow. RFID technology has characteristics of non-contact, reliability, etc. and it can be applied in information collection of workshop logistics. Unfortunately, semantic heterogeneity problems exist in discrete manufacturing workshop logistics information by using RFID, which lead to the generation of info-islands in different workshops, furthermore, the info-island in manufacturing enterprise will have adverse influence on information interaction and sharing within enterprises. Thus, effectively integrating of heterogeneous workshop logistics infor- mation and further giving information support for enterprise decision-making should be given the priority. This paper makes research on integration of workshop logistics information at the semantic level and its key technologies, on the purpose of improving transfer rate of workshop logistics information during networked manufacturing, as well as enhancing the ability of manufacturing system to understand the information.To the beginning, the paper describes the important role played by the workshop informationization in the manufacturing informationization and problems of workshop informationization, expatiates on the research status of workshop logistics information collection, and information integration technologies.Then, the paper expounds the characteristics of logistics information in discrete manufacturing workshop and the collection method of logistics information by RFID, and analyzes semantic heterogeneity problems generated by using RFID to collect and process the workshop logistics information. According to the demand for workshop information interaction, the paper raises a semantic integration framework of discrete workshop RFID logistics information based on ontology, which could realize semantic integration of workshop logistics information through the combination between domain ontology and local ontology, and gives out the realization process of the semantic integration framework.After that, the paper makes analysis and research on the three key technologies involved in the framework, including the methods and processes of constructing domain ontology and the domain ontology of discrete workshop logistics information resources based on RFID, the access technology from relational databases to local ontology of OWL and from XML documents to the local ontology of OWL, and the semantic mapping technology plus its implementation method and the process between the domain ontology and local ontology.Finally, on the basis of the research on semantic integration framework and key technologies, the paper gives the detail of implementation procedure of the key technologies, and verifies all the technologies described above with a real application. According to the result of the verification, ontology technology can effectively solve the semantic heterogeneity problem of information.
