With the rapid development of the economy of China, logistics is the one of the ten key industries in the national planning. The development of ports has the top priority in these industries. The container handling port operations accounted the highest proportion of the ports, therefore requires a lot of container handling equipments such as reach stacker.This article is for the research and development of the domestic reach stacker. The control system is the key technology in this equipment. 45t reach stacker control system need high security, stability, and is very complex. In the long time the foreign manufacturer monopoly the market. To break this unfavorable situation, the country urgent need developing a domestic reach stacker control system which has the intellectual property rights and market competitiveness.45t reach stacker operational safety control system is implemented by the container principle of moment balance. It can be automatic weighing and anti-overturning. This system can prevent overloading and vehicle overturning when the machine is working. The communication is based on the CAN bus which achieve the data transmission security, real-time and reliability. The control system has a user-friendly interface which achieves a visual display and user-friendly operation. The model is build by the MATLAB programming language which proves the successful validation of the weighing, load list and anti-overturning algorithm. By the rational and effective use of the data structure and program flow we implement the operational safety control system. PC applications apply more useful extensions for the control system.By debugging the operational safety control system of 45t reach stacker, every functional module of the system can be steady working such as weighing, HMI, anti-overturning control and PC application modules. After practice test the results show the system is working to achieve similar features and performance as the foreign product. The domestic system has a strong technical advantage and market competitiveness.
