With the development of data acquisition, the requirement of acquisition speed is higher and higher. In order to adjust some complicated environment, we usually need to transfer data to the far-distant PC by wireless communication in the place that people cannot enter. Nowadays because the speed of wireless communication is low, it becomes the bottleneck speed. Therefore, we can't transfer data to PC real-timely, we need a large capacity device to store all the data first. After that, read them and transfer them to PC by using wireless communication.In this paper, the whole structure of this data recording system is designed first. After that, the details of the designs of data storage, data compression and wireless communication have been given.About data storage, after analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of some data acquisition systems, the structure of IDE hardware and FPGA has been used. Operated IDE interface by using FPGA, using PIO mode-4 and Ultra DMA mode-4 of ATA. The highest speed of PIO-mode 4 is 11.8MB/s, and the highest speed of Ultra DMA-mode 4 is 50.0MB/s. It is tested by logic analyzer in Quartus II.Second, in order to high up transfer speed, data compression technology is introduced into this paper. A CAM dictionary has been designed in FPGA by using parallel matching technology. Then realized LZW compression algorithm with the CAM, and decompressed the data that has been compressed successfully, it is tested by the logic analyzer. During the process of designing, the frequence of the CAM dictionary has been raised by using pipelining technology.Finally, realized wireless communication system by using WAP200B, adopting serial port communication. First designed RS-232 circuit, then configurated parameters of WAP200B by software. The speed of wireless communication is 9600bps, it is tested by using serial port debugging tool.
