Rapid development of semiconductor technology makes it able to integrate more and more transistors into one single chip,meanwhile,it means that single chip can contain more IP cores.As the number of IP cores of single chip increased,the traditional bus-based structure can no longer satisfy the design specification,which leads researchers proposed the Network-on-Chip(NoC) architecture.On the research field of NoC,researchers pay more attention on the mesh topology since it is simple to implement and highly scalable.At the same time,the warmhole switching has been widely used in NoC network,because it not only require less buffer space but also can decrease the packet latency.Because of those,the research of the paper based on the mesh topology and the warmhole switching.The paper focuses on the design of NoC network with the following work: first,set up the testbench based on open source plate Noxim,with the aid of the testbench make the research of NoC network under different flow models using different routing algorithoms to get the performance model of the network,then make the research to see how the network parameter affect the performance of network,and at last analyze the result of the test,give some advices to the designers.Simulation results show that deterministic routing algorithom works more efficient under uniform flow model while adaptive routing algorithom can realize better performance under non-uniform flow model,increase the cache can not always improve the performance.
