Antenna, the key component of the radar system, functions as the main part of transmitting and receiving radar electromagnetic wave. A rather highly surface precision and enough intensity and rigidity are required in the radar antenna, but the limited space and the weight target sharpen the initial contradictions acutely among the space, the rigidity and the weight. Moreover, the flexibility of the mobile radar accumulates these paradoxes. By means of the newly emerging Virtual Prototyping Technology and the theory of structural analysis, the structure of the planar antenna array of a mobile radar should be designed to meet the requirements.With ANSYS software and ADAMS software, the simulation and analysis is introduced in the paper, discussing about the antenna structure and the related structure of the antenna. The study work of the paper involves mainly the following two sections: firstly, the simulation analysis model of the frame structure of the radar antenna and the support structure of the antenna frame structure are built up, and the finite element analysis will be performed respectively with ANSYS software. As for the simulation analysis model of the frame structure of the radar antenna, static analysis and model analysis in the transport state are conducted to check if the intensity and the rigidity satisfy the design indexes. However, it is essential for the safety check to perform static analysis on the simulation analysis model of the support structure of the antenna frame structure. Secondly, the simulation analysis model of the hydraulic lifting mechanism of radar antenna is built to carry on the dynamic analysis with ADAMS software, then taking the hinge points of the hydraulic cylinder as design variables, the maximum lift force as an objective, the design of experiments is processed by ADAMS software.
