ARM is the most popular embedded microprocessor used widely at present, which is low power consumption, high processing speed and low-cost. ARM-Linux embedded system is being widely used in the consumer electronics, industrial control systems, aerospace applications, automotive electronics, medical equipments and other fields. Therefore, it provides a new space for self-priming solenoid valve testing instrument's improvement.This topic constructed a platform of applications and developments by using Samsung Company ARM920T embedded microprocessor S3C2440A and the Embedded Linux Operating System. And the hardware and software designing, have been done in the manner of structuring and modularizing programing, This thesis have developed a set of self-priming solenoid valve including embedded control, high-speed data acquisition and processing, and friendly man-machine interactive environment. This thesis is composed of the designing of hardware and the implementation of software. The hardware is made up of peripheral circuits of S3C2440A, data acquisition circuit, storage circuit and communication circuit. The software included the bootloader, transplantation of the operating system, a number of device drivers and master control programmes. Finally, the system could provide a friendly man-machine interactive interface with a powerful graphical developing tools Qt/Embedded provided by embedded Linux Operating System. The parameters could be displayed on the LCD screen. In addition, it can support the functions of touch screen and mouse input.The self-priming solenoid valve testing instrument can test and display action voltage of opening valve, holding voltage of opening valve, release voltage, resistance of actuating coil, retaining coil resistance of various types of self-priming solenoid valve with the function such as: manual/ automatic detection, digital display and locking storage, action status display, integrated parameter identification judgment, as well as the alarm signal for the rejected self-priming solenoid valve. The entire device complies with the standard of QB/T2278.2-96 .According to experiment result, the system works stable and reliable, having accurate data tests and high measure definition, reaching pre-determined requirements.
