With the rapid development of information technology in weapon equipment, information has played an important role in modern weapons. The embedded real-time database system providing timely, accurate, continuous, integrated data service platform for all types of weapons and equipment, is becoming an important options for information-intensive weapons and equipment. It is of great significance to study the embedded database system evaluation and testing technology. Combining with the testing practice for military software projects, a complete testing method was put forward, which is based on studies of software testing process model and software testing process metric systems.The first step in this paper is to analysis the main techniques using in traditional database system and how to improve them in order to achieve the real-time, predictability and reliability of the embedded database systems. Second, techniques include system architecture, data model, indexing mechanism, memory management mechanisms, concurrency control mechanism and transaction recovery mechanism. Then, a new V model of software testing is proposed. By analyzing the impact of the embedded database system characteristics on the testing, a test strategy of embedded database is proposed. A new V model for software testing is proposed by improving the traditional V model, and then the testing activities can throughout the whole software development process. Third, through the in-depth analysis of the embedded database architecture and its implementation techniques, a test program used in the embedded database is proposed. Besides, an embedded database system evaluation framework is created by using a three-tier quality measures model concept based on GQM, and the embedded real-time database system quality is evaluated by means of fuzzy synthetic evaluation method. Finally, according to the test plan, the analysis of the technology of the CS_ERTDB and the test are put into practice.
