The scale of the Internet applications has expanded rapidly,and the pressure of the server has to load more and more, far more than a single server could bear, that made the clustering technology to undertake this information need.Recently,the large internet companies commonly used the server clusters to provide the service,the developing of the computing cloud and virtualized technology will make new demand to clustering technology. The realization of the lvs(linux virtual server) promoted the developing of the clustering technology,but the weight of the load balancing was static,and the load balancing could not dynamically adjust the weight in real time according to the load of the real server,which easily made the load lean of the server.So it's necessary for us to research and expand the lvs seriously.The rapid development of the internet caused another problem of the massive data storage. Since the gigabit storage technology could significantly improve the I/O bandwidth per port of the storage system(2.5-5 times of the existing storage system),and the I/O bandwidth per port had the potential of expanding to 40Gbit/s or 100Gbit/s.It's the ideal technology in the business needs for users to handle the increasing capacity of data processing in storage system. So the IPS AN is worth us to concern and research.Firstly,this paper optimized the existing WLC(Weighted Least Connections) algorithm.Through dynamically feedbacking the server load and adjusting the weight of the load balancer,the server would have a better load balancing.Secondly,by analysing and learning the IPSAN storage network and LVS cluster technology architectured a high available and scalable web system with several low-cost pc in the lab.In this web system the storage part was using the pc architecture,ethernet card+initiator and the GFS shared network storage to achieve and the LVS load balancing was using the VS/DR(Direct Routing),optimized WLC algorithm and the hight available heartbeat to realize.Last,this paper used the testing tool of LoadRunner to test the high availability of the system,the promotion of the service performance using the load balancing and the optimized WLC algorithm ensured that heartbeat could well resolved the problem of load balancer's single point of failure,LVS cluster greatly improved and optimized the performance of the service. optimized WLC algorithm made the server handle the requests of the client more better.
