《the Si Ku Quan Shu》and《Si Bu Monographs》Electronic Version Of The Analysis To See Digitization Of The Development Trend And Review

Content: The Chinese ancient books are numerous due to its long historical origins. But with the lapse of time, the preservation and reuse of paper books become a critical problem for modern scholars. With the development and progress of science, and the continuous discovery of new material and new research method, and the constantly upgrade of computer software and hardware, and the rapid development of Internet technology, the science research presents new visage, and the study on digitizing of ancient books also becomes flourishing and competitive. Not only the special research institutes are doing the research and development of ancient books digitizing, but also some commercial companys are involved. In this article, with the electronic versions of "Si Ku Quan Shu" developed by Hongkong DiZhi Culture Company and "Si Bu monographs" by ShuTongWen Company as one example, it is pointed out the problems presently existed in the ancient books digitizing works in China and also the solution is put forward through the utilization of concrete measures such as literature investigation and research, network information searches and comparison based on the practice and the study of compiling process and the application characteristics of these two electronic books. In the final conclusion, it is emphasized that the ancient books digitizing has already become a effective way to keep existing ancient books. It also offers a convenient means for scholars to make science study, and simultaneously provides the necessary conditions to show Chinese culture of five thousand year's history to the world.
