With the development of third generation mobile communication network (3G), remote wireless video surveillance as a new form of applications is given more and more attentions.3G communication network is widely used in various industries for its wide coverage and extensive transmission.This paper designs a video transmission based on the 3G wireless network to achive wireless remote monitoring·Firstly, it introduce the background of this subject and the development of the 3G wireless network.After that, it delaborate the technical theory of 3G. Based on the the analysis of hardware system DM6446 chip structure and processing ability, it gives an in-depth research on the implementation principle and system structure of 3G video transmission system. It put forward a design proposal of the remote monitoring system, which use DM6446 as Video processing core,3G wireless as network transmission platform and which is through RTP/RTCP agreement for video transmission. The thesis is the core of the transmission module design, it means the realization cfH.264video format transmission based on the RTP/RTCP agreement. After coding the simulation by cameras, the video is changed toH.264video format. It can transfer through the 3G wireless network to the client after RTP/RTCP packing.After testing the system, it is running normally basically achieved real-time video transmission. After all, the test summarizes the research achievements and analysis for the further research.
